Solo Concert 2017
Solo Recital: April 23, 2017
The culmination of two years of intensive study towards a Master of Music degree at New England Conservatory of Music, my solo recital on April 23 at New England Conservatory's Pierce Hall featured five of my original songs plus works by Johannes Brahms, Duke Ellington, Kurt Weill, Willie Nelson, and others; musical styles represented include classical art song (German Lieder), country, gospel, jazz, singer/songwriter, folk/rock, honky tonk, and combinations of all of those and beyond.
I was joined by two incredible pianists: my inspiring studio teacher Hankus Netsky, and my friend and colleague / piano superhero Jacob Hiser. Here I present the recital in its entirety: I hope you enjoy the journey! (If you prefer to watch the recital videos in the order in which they were programmed and presented, please visit my YouTube Playlist.)
All videos are by Eva Maldonado, and all five of my original songs (© Copyright Ilona Tipp 2017, All Rights Reserved) appear below in the larger video size.
